Week of October 19th

Thursday, October 22nd and Friday, October 23rd are half days for students. 

Parents can sign up for conferences by opening the link to the sign-up genius that was sent out on Friday, October 16th.

READING: Our story this week is How Animals Communicate, which is Lesson 7.

You can find the link to the textbook and information on the skills we will be working on by opening the slides  found on Google Classroom.

ESSENTIAL QUESTION: How do animals communicate?

SKILLS: Main Idea and Details, Text and Graphic Features

GRAMMAR: Commas in a series

WRITING: We will be working on elaboration.

PHONICS: Short i, clusters with r and phonogram -ip.

SPELLING: please make sure that you are working on completing assignments from our October Menu.  Spelling Homework is to be turned in by Friday.

Math: Lessons # 35-39.  On Monday students will complete the Fact Assessment on doubles, on Tuesday students will complete the 6th Written Assessment.

Science/Social Studies: We will be learning about autumn leaves and creating our own Leaf Animals.

Religion: We will be participating in the Living Rosary on Monday.  Students are welcome to bring in their own Rosaries from home. Students will be learning prayers that we say during the mass.

We will attending mass this Friday at 8:15 am.

Announcements: Please do not forget a healthy morning snack and a water bottle.
