Week of October 26th

This week we are reading the story, “A Musical Day”.  In this story children make instruments out of household items.  Please help your child create an instrument at home and return it to school before next Friday, October 30th.  We will be creating our own band and playing music together!

READING: Our story this week is A Musical Day, which is Lesson 8.

All Students can find the link to the textbook, decodable readers and information on the skills we will be working on by opening the slides found on Google Classroom shared on Monday, October 26th.  The slides will be updated throughout the week.

SKILLS: Sequence of Events / Narrator

GRAMMAR: Writing Statements

WRITING: We will be working on creating a list of story ideas, and how to select a story to write about from our lists.

PHONICS: Short o, clusters with l and phonogram -ock.

SPELLING: please make sure that you are working on completing assignments from our October Menu.  Spelling Homework is to be turned in by Friday.

Math: Lessons # 39-43.  Fact Assessment 2 will be on Tuesday (there will be Fact HW every day)/ Written Assessment 7 will be on Wednesday there will be no Concepts Hw on Wednesday)

Science/Social Studies: We will be learning about Pumpkins.

Religion: We will be Learning about Baby Moses.

We will attending mass this Friday at 8:15 am.

Announcements: Please do not forget a healthy morning snack and a water bottle.
